Become an Ambassador of the Chamber
Ambassador Meeting's are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month with the Chamber of Commerce and Ellie’s Diner and Catering hosting the Ambassadors’ Committee for lunch and monthly planning session. The Committee is briefed on the coming month’s events and mentors are assigned to each new member as a contact to welcome new members to the Chamber.
Requirements to become an Ambassador (Mandatory):
• Must hold a Chamber membership for 13 months
• Active member of a Committee or Leads Group for 13 months i.e. Healthcare, Woman’s Group, Hispanic Chapter, Young Professionals, Leads Group.
• Participate on one (1) Event Committee within 12 months of becoming an Ambassador. .i.e. Annual Dinner Dance, Taste of Boynton, and Annual Golf Tournament.
• Complete Chamber University Program prior to becoming an Ambassador.
Expectations required as an active Ambassador:
• Represent the Chamber at one (1) ribbon cuttings/ground breaking ceremonies monthly.
• Attend minimum four (4) monthly luncheons per year to remain informed of upcoming Chamber events. This meeting will also serve to share concerns and interests.
• Promote new member participation by being a Greeter at one (1) New Member Wine and Cheese Reception.
• Make maximum of three (3) new member calls as part of the New Member Welcome plan to inform them about programs, services and benefits. New Members assignments will be done monthly at the Ambassador Luncheon.
• Consistently have fun as a group by engaging new members and therefore adding value to their membership.
• Ambassador Annual Dues will be $50.00 per year which will underwrite the cost of 10 Ambassador Luncheon meetings per year.
• Maximum number of Ambassador’s will be 25 at anytime; waiting list will be maintained by Chamber Staff.
Benefits of Ambassador Status
An Ambassador can resign at any time. Please notify Glenn Jergensen in writing by email at GlennJ@BoyntonBeach.org . Ambassadors who do not meet a minimum requirement of events annually will not be considered for renewal and will be removed from the Ambassador’s Listings.

Ambassador Meetings:
Ambassadors will meet Monthly (Except July and December). Meetings are designed to provide networking and to educate Ambassadors regarding current Chamber events. Meetings are mandatory as this program is essential to the growth and retention of Chamber membership. You will be emailed an invitation monthly to notify you of meeting location, date and time.
Ambassador Handbook will be provided to guide you through the Welcome Process.
Ambassadors are prohibited from making hard core sales pitches while making a Chamber call. If the member initiates conversation about your service or product it is then appropriate to keep the topic active.
