Q. What is a Chamber of Commerce?

A. A Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit membership-based organization dedicated to improving the business climate and quality of living within a specific region. Though they often work with large public agencies, chambers are not departments of any government organization. The mission of the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce is to work cooperatively with community, civic and governmental organizations to enhance the image of the Boynton Beach Area and to foster a climate in which businesses can operate profitably.

Q. What are the benefits of joining the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce?

A. Aside from the numerous member benefit programs geared to helping members improve their bottom line, the Boynton Chamber also offers members various networking opportunities with peers, government officials, and business leaders. Members also receive timely, relevant information so that they may be kept informed, professional development workshops and seminars so that they may gain valuable knowledge and skills to help them succeed, and policy and communications expertise to assist them in advocating their views.

Q. What will I pay to belong to the Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce?

Q. Are dues tax deductible?
 A. Chamber dues are deductible for federal income tax purposes as a business expense.

Q. How many Chamber members are there?
A. The Chamber currently has nearly 700 members.

Q. How can I look up my company listing or other company listings?
A. To look up a company, use the Member Directory on BoyntonBeachChamber.com

Q. How can I change my company listing?
A. Your company information may change due to a move, new personnel or addition of a web site. View current information and email the Chamber at Info@BoyntonBeachChamber.com with your changes. You must be the primary contact for your company in order to make changes to your company record.

Q. Does the Chamber use volunteers?

A. Yes! Volunteering for the Chamber is a great way to network with other members, contribute to the community and have fun all at the same time. There are numerous committees and major events that need volunteer support.

Q. Where can I find a list of upcoming Chamber events?

Q. How can I find out what's going on at the Chamber?
A. The Business Monthly is the official member publication of the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber. Past newsletters are available on BoyntonBeachChamber.com under Chamber News.

Q. Can I get discounts because I am a Chamber member?
A.  We encourage our members to take advantage of  the Member to Member Discounts Program. You can search for companies that offer a member discounts under My Chamber on BoyntonBeachChamber.com

Q. Can I use the Chamber logo on my website?
A.  Boynton Beach Chamber members may use the Chamber logo on their website. Please contact your Account Executive at the Chamber.

Q. What advertising opportunities are available?
A. Contact your Account Executive for more information.

Q. Can I use the Chamber's facilities for my meetings?
A. At present, the Chamber's meeting facilities are for use by Chamber committees, board and staff and not available for general use. 

Q: Is the Chamber like the Better Business Bureau?
A: No, the Chamber is not a regulatory agency, it is an association of businesses open to any company interested in growing their business.

Q: Is the Chamber affiliated with the city or county?
A: The Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce does not receive funds from the City of Boynton Beach or Palm Beach County. However, it does work closely with both on issues that affect business and community.

Q: Is my company automatically a part of the Chamber?
A: Companies must become a member to truly receive the benefits of the Chamber.

Q: Is the Chamber a for-profit company?
A: Some Chambers are for-profit companies, but the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit 501 (c) 6 organization.

Q: Are Chamber Staff volunteers?
A: The Greater Boynton Beach Chamber has a staff of 6 paid professionals, but also has 22 civic leaders and executives that volunteer on the board of directors, 25 volunteer ambassadors , 12 volunteer group and committee chairs and 6 Visitor Center volunteers.
