Boynton Beach is easily accessible from all major highways in South Florida. Interstate 95 has four exits into Boynton Beach and the Florida Turnpike provides a quick entrance into western Boynton. Other north-south arteries are U.S. 1, which runs through downtown Boynton Beach, and S.R. A1A, the scenic oceanfront highway.

For visitors arriving by air, Palm Beach International Airport is only 15 minutes away to the north, while Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is located 30 minutes to the south. Palm Beach County Airport at Lantana, located near the northern edge of Boynton Beach, offers general aviation services for private and corporate aircraft.

    Arriving and departing from the historic railroad station in West Palm Beach are six, full-service Amtrak trains each day. Equipped with coaches, lounge, sleeping and dining cars, the Silver Palm, Silver Meteor and Silver Star operate daily between Miami and New York, serving Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and the Northeast as well as connecting to Amtrak's 45-state, 22,000-mile national system.

    Commuter rail service between West Palm Beach and Miami is operated seven days a week by Tri-Rail, which serves Miami - Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Tri-Rail also provides convenient connecting service to the areas three international airports. In addition, free connecting bus service is available from all train stations.

    Located in Riviera Beach, the Port of Palm Beach ranks fourth in container activity among Florida's deep-water ports. A Foreign Trade Zone permits domestic and foreign merchandise to enter the area without customs clearance, duties or taxes, providing significant incentives for the import/ export business.
    Docking facilities include 25 berths along 5,300 feet of bulkheading, two slips, four wharves, and six Ro/Ro ramps. Storage areas feature about 200,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space for bulk and breakbulk cargoes and 43 acres of open stores including 300,000 sq. ft. of storage, and 300,000 sq. ft. of cold stores.

    The county-wide bus system makes travelling from Jupiter to Boca Raton, over to the beach or out to the Glades easy with 34 routes, 18 timed transfer locations, over 4,100 bus stops, seven day service, and more frequent service. $ 1.00 one-way fares (.50 for seniors, students and people with disabilities) with .20 transfers make travelling throughout Palm Beach County a breeze.     The Greyhound terminal in West Palm Beach is located in the Seaboard Train Station at 205 South Tamarind Avenue. The station provides convenient access to passengers and easy connection with other modes of travel, including Amtrak, local public transit and Tri-Rail.
    Greyhound offers approximately 32 schedules a day to destinations such as Orlando, New York City, Atlanta and other cities nationwide.

    Greyhound is the only nationwide provider of intercity bus transportation, serving more than 2,600 destinations with 18,000 daily departures. The company also provides package express service, charter service and food service at certain terminals.   • I-95
    Keeping up with Florida's rapid growth is its interstate highway system. I-95 links Miami to Jacksonville through coastal cities and up through the northeastern states, while Florida's Turnpike links Miami north through Orlando to Wildwood where it connects to I-75 and continues on toward Atlanta. Additionally, several major roads connect Florida's east and west coasts.

    For commuters heading north or south, I-95 has 22 interchanges in the county and Florida's Turnpike has five. High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes have been implemented on I-95 during peak travel periods.
